Headhunters (15) Norwegian with English Subtitles
Intense and entertaining thriller packed with twists and based on award winning mystery writer Jo Nesbo's novel, Headhunters' stars Aksel Hennie (Max Manus) as an elite headhunter who finances his lavish lifestyle by stealing art from his own clients. "A slick thriller which takes place in a moral vacuum. It's fascinating rather than exciting, but makes for chilly thrills with two strong, charismatic lead performances, a great deal of style and amusingly repulsive, ruthless twists" **** Four stars! Empire  Trailer
The Kid with a Bike (French with English subtitles)

The Artist (Apart from some music, the film is 99% silent, with caption cards for dialogue).
Winning awards al over the place, the film is an exquisitely judged, gloriously funny and achingly tender film by the French director Michel Hazanavicius, a movie about the black and white silent age of Hollywood, which is itself in black and white, and silent – or almost silent (warning - contains mild spoilers...)
In an instance of sound in 'The Artist' George Valentin is having a nightmare after seeing his wife's sound test… he dreams that he hears noise, but his voice has gone. So in the film itself we get him mouthing words, but there is sound - his glass being set down on the table, his dog barking and the giggle of the dancers walking by his dressing room… and then he wakes up, and everything's back to normal. In another scene, George and Peppy are tap dancing. The scene ends and pans out to the director and cameramen, the director shouts 'Cut!' and the noise of a working film studio can be heard. George Valentin speaks - without a caption card. When asked if they can do the scene over, he says, in a French accent, 'It would be my pleasure.'
There is a continuous orchestral score by Ludovic Bource. "The Artist" heads the Golden Globes with six nominations, among them best comedy or musical, and acting honors for its French stars, Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo. Trailer here
